Application: Text Desktop version

Images inserted into the document can be edited directly from the interface of MyText by opening them in an external editor. After making changes and saving them in the external editor, the image is automatically updated in the document. This eliminates the need to re-export and re-insert edited images.

To edit an image, follow these steps:

1.Run the command to edit it in one of the following ways:

Double-click the image.

Click chart_pro_1 Edit next to the image. If there are several applications available for editing, select the one you need from the list.

Select the image and, on the Home tab, click chart_pro_2 Edit. If there are several applications available for editing, select the one you need from the list.

Right-click the image and select Edit object from the context menu. If there are several applications available for editing, select the one you need from the list.

2.In the external application window that opens, edit and save the image.

3.Close the external application.

The image is automatically updated in the document.

The same image can only be edited in one application at a time.

When working in the Preview application on macOS, after editing an image, you need to close the application via the Menu bar (Preview > Quit). If you simply close the window, the application will still be running and the object will not be updated.

When working in Inkscape on Windows or Alt Linux 10.2, it is not recommended to edit multiple images at the same time as changes to some images may not be applied to the document.
