You can quickly adjust the width of the columns using the horizontal ruler.

The width is changed by:

Increasing or decreasing the spacing between columns.

Changing the position of the spacing (available only for columns of different widths).

 

If the columns are the same width, increasing or decreasing one spacing will proportionally change the size of the remaining column spacings. If the columns are of different widths, only the customizable spacing is increased or decreased.

To increase or decrease the spacing between columns of equal width, follow these steps:

1.On the ruler, move the mouse cursor over the left or right border of any change_interval_size element located between the columns. The cursor will look like a two-sided arrow.

2.Hold down the left mouse button and move the cursor to the desired position.

3.Release the left mouse button.

 

To increase or decrease the spacing between columns of different widths, do the following:

1.To increase or decrease the spacing before a column, on the ruler, move the mouse cursor over the left border of the corresponding change_interval_position element. To increase or decrease the spacing after a column, move the mouse cursor over the right border of the corresponding change_interval_position element. The cursor will look like a two-sided arrow.

2.Hold down the left mouse button and move the cursor to the desired position.

3.Release the left mouse button.

 

To change the spacing position between columns of different widths, follow these steps:

1.On the ruler, hover the mouse cursor over change_interval_position element located between these columns. The cursor will look like a crosshair .

2.Hold down the left mouse button and move the cursor to the desired position.

3.Release the left mouse button.
