Working with files in .doc format is not supported on macOS.
When you open a file in .doc format, it is automatically converted to .docx format. A banner will be displayed below the Toolbar with the following notification: “Document was automatically converted to a newer format”. Click the 
button in this banner.
To save a file in .docx format, follow the steps described in the Save a file section.
