You can also use the keyboard keys to increase or decrease the indent:

1.To change the indent of a single item in the list using the Tab, Backspace, or Delete keys, place the cursor strictly at the beginning of the item. To change the indentation for multiple items, select them in their entirety.

2.Change the indentation:

To increase the indentation, press Tab.

To reduce the indentation, press Backspace or Shift+Tab (Windows, Linux), Delete or ⇧Shift+⇥Tab (macOS). Backspace and Delete keys do not change the indentation for multiple list items at different levels.

You cannot use the Shift+Tab keyboard shortcut to change the nesting levels of a list located in a table.
