To delete a single column or row, follow the steps below:
1.Select the column or row to delete in one of the following ways:
•Select this column or row, or a range of cells in this column or row.
•Place the cursor in a cell or select a cell in that column or row.
2.Delete a column or row using one of the following methods:
•In the Format menu, select Table > Delete Column or Delete Row.
•On the Toolbar, in the Table section, click the drop-down menu button Delete Cell, Column, or Row and select
Delete Column or
Delete Row.
•Right-click to open the context menu and run the Delete Column or Delete Row command.
•To delete a column, press Ctrl+Alt+U or Option+
Cmd+U. Or press Ctrl+Alt+R or
Option+
Cmd+R to delete a row.
To delete multiple columns or rows, follow these steps:
1.Select these columns or rows, or cells located in them.
2.Delete columns or rows using one of the following methods:
•In the Format menu, select Table > Delete Columns or Delete Rows.
•On the Toolbar, in the Table section, click the drop-down menu button Delete Cell, Column, or Row and select
Delete Columns or
Delete Rows.
•Right-click anywhere in the selected range and run Delete Rows / Delete Columns command from the context menu.
•To delete columns, press Ctrl+Alt+U or Option+
Cmd+U. Or press Ctrl+Alt+R or
Option+
Cmd+R to delete rows.
To quickly delete one or several columns or rows, follow these steps:
1.Select these columns or rows in their entirety.
2.Press Ctrl+– or Cmd+–.
