New rows are inserted above or below the selected row.

To add one row:

1.Do one of the following:

Select the row or range of cells in the row above or below which you want to insert a new row.

Place the cursor in the cell or select the cell in the row above or below which you want to insert a new row.

2.Insert a new row in one of the following ways:

In the Format menu, select Table > Insert Row Above or Insert Row Below.

On the Toolbar, in the Table section, click the t_table_drop_menu_button Insert Cell, Column or Row drop-down menu button and select editor_insert_row_icon Insert Row Above or editor_insert_row_below_icon Insert Row Below.

Right-click to open the context menu and run the Insert Row Above or Insert Row Below command.

To insert a row above, press Alt+A or alt Option+A. Or press Alt+B or alt Option+B to insert a row below.

To quickly add one row below the last row in the table, use one of the following methods:

Place the cursor in the last cell of that row and press Tab.

If the table is not a nested one, select any cell in that row and press Enter.

To add several rows, follow these steps:

1.Select the rows above or below which you want to insert new rows. The number of selected rows should equal the number of rows to insert. For example, if you want to insert two rows, select the two rows. To run the command, you can select both rows as a whole and the cells located in them.

2.Insert a new rows in one of the following ways:

In the Format menu, select Table > Insert Rows Above or Insert Rows Below.

On the Toolbar, in the Table section, click the t_table_drop_menu_button Insert Cell, Column or Row drop-down menu button and select editor_insert_row_icon Insert Rows Above or editor_insert_row_below_icon Insert Rows Below.

Right-click anywhere in the selected range and run Insert Rows Above or Insert Rows Below command from the context menu.

To insert rows above, press Alt+A or alt Option+A. Or press Alt+B or alt Option+B to insert rows below.
