To remove protection from changes to the entire document from changes, on the Protection tab, click t_protection_unlock Unlock. When working in macOS, you can also run the Edit > Unlock command from the command menu.

To remove protection from changes for a part of the document, select that part of the document and run the Unlock command in the same way.
