You can create your own formatting styles.
Styles should be created based on the corresponding preset styles. For example, the first-level heading style should be created based on the preset Heading 1 style, and the plain text style should be created based on the Normal style.
To create a style:
1.Open the Styles pane.
2.Select the paragraph for which you want to create a style.
3.Apply the appropriate preset style to the paragraph. For example, to create a second-level heading style, apply the Heading 2 style to the paragraph.
4.Click Create new style. The style list will display the new style with the default name. For example, Style 1. The created style will be automatically applied to the selected paragraph.
5.Apply the formatting options you want to add to the new style to the paragraph. For example, change the indents, spacings, font color.
6.Select a number or bullet format if necessary:
•If you want to select the number format, on the Home tab, in the Paragraph group, click the arrow to the right of the
Numbered list button and select the desired format.
•If you want to select a bullet format, click the arrow to the right of the
Bulleted list button and select the desired format.
