To set change protection, proceed as follows:

1.Select the desired content of the document:

To lock a single paragraph of text from changes, place the cursor in the paragraph, select part of the paragraph, or the entire paragraph. To lock multiple paragraphs from changes, select them in their entirety.

To lock an image or shape from changes, select it with a left-click.

To lock the text in a shape from changing, double-click the shape and then select the desired text in the shape.

To lock text in one or more cells in a table from being changed, select those cells.

To lock a table from changes, select the entire table.

2.On the Protection tab, click t_protection_lock_content Lock content. When working in macOS, you can also run the Edit > Lock content command from the command menu.

 

The content protection is visually represented as follows:

In locked text, the cursor color changes to red.

When you select a locked object, the color of its frame changes to red.

When you move the cursor over the marker of a locked object, the cursor changes to lock_size.

When you try to modify locked text or an object, the following pop-up message is displayed: “Cannot make changes to locked parts of the document”.
