Move a rule in the list

The rules are applied from the bottom to the top of the list in the Conditional formatting pane. Rules listed higher in the list take precedence over conflicting rules listed lower down.

To change the order in which a rule is applied, move it up or down in the list. You can do this by dragging it with the mouse or using the move commands.

To move a rule by dragging it with the mouse, do the following:

1.Hover your cursor over a rule in the list. The cursor will look like .

2.Click and hold the left mouse button and drag the rule to the desired place in the list.

3.Release the left mouse button to set the new position of the rule.

To move a rule using the move commands:

1.Hover your cursor over a rule in the list.

2.Click  More and select Move up / Move down. The rule will move one position in the selected direction.
