To edit any rule parameters, follow these steps:

1.Hover the cursor over the rule in the list and click edit_icon Edit.

2.In the Edit formatting rule window that opens, make the necessary changes.

3.Click OK at the bottom of the window.

 

Some rule parameters can be changed without opening the edit window.

To quickly change the range of application for a rule, do the following:

1.Hover your cursor over a rule in the list.

2.Click more_vertical_icon More and select Change range.

3.Select a new range on the sheet or enter its address manually in the Change range window. Then click select_cells Select values.

To quickly enable or disable the Stop subsequent rules option, do the following:

1.Hover your cursor over a rule in the list.

2.Click more_vertical_icon More and select Stop subsequent rules.

The Stop subsequent rules option is only available for rules of the Regular highlighting type.

formatting_conditional_disable-below

This property disables the rules listed below it. Once a rule is applied, subsequent rules in the same range will not be applied. A rule with this property selected is marked with the formatting_conditional_stop-icon icon in the pane.
