To clear formatting in cells without deleting data, follow these steps:

1.Select the cell or range whose formatting needs to be cleared.

2.On the Home tab, in the Edit group, click t_clear_button Clear. In the drop-down menu that appears, select Clear formatting.

To clear the formatting in cells and delete data in them, follow these steps:

1.Select the cell or range in which you want to delete the data.

2.On the Home tab, in the Edit group, click t_clear_button Clear. In the drop-down menu that appears, select the Clear all command.

When selecting pivot table cells, the Clear all command deletes the entire table.

As a result of the formatting clean-up:

The formatting of the cells returns to the default settings (see below).

The contents of the cells are not deleted.

The width of the cells does not change.

If no custom line height change has been performed while working on the document, the cell height returns to the default value of 0.53 cm (when 12 font size is applied).

The merged cells are split.

If there are hyperlinks in the cells, the formatting of hyperlinks is reset. The hyperlinks are not deleted.

The formatting of the smart table cells is reset and the formatting defined by the selected table style is applied.

The formatting of the pivot table cells is reset to the default formatting settings for pivot tables, or to the tabular style of a third-party editor, if any. The numeric formats of the pivot table are reset to the General format.

Formatting of cells with a drop-down list returns to the default settings (see below). The contents of the drop-down list are not deleted.

Formulas are not recalculated.

The formatting of the text of the notes is not reset.

When you run the Clear formatting or Clear all commands in an ODS document that contains default settings created in other editors, the formatting will be reset to the default settings specified in MySpreadsheet.

You cannot use Clear formatting command in template files.

By default, the following formatting settings are applied to cells:

Font: XO Thames

Font size: 12

Font type: Regular

Text highlight "p_xo_list_bullet" style="">Text "p_xo_list_bullet" style="">Horizontal alignment: Align left: for text, Align right: for numbers

Vertical alignment: Align to bottom

Character spacing: Normal

Cell fill: None

Cell format: General

Cell borders: None

Text rotation: Not applicable

Text wrap: Not applicable
