Multiple selection allows you to select the following combinations of cells and ranges at the same time:

: Cells in different rows and columns

: Cells in the same row or column
•
: Non-adjacent rows or columns
•
: Regular ranges
•
: Overlapping ranges
•
: Irregular ranges
To use multiple selection, follow these steps:
1.Select a single cell, a range of cells, a column, or a row.
2.Hold Ctrl / ⌘Cmd down, select another cell, range, column, or row that you want to add to the ones already selected.
3.If necessary, continue the selection without releasing Ctrl / ⌘Cmd .
