How can we help you?

To filter the range by value, follow the steps below:

1.Create a range of filtering.

2.Click editor_filter_on_drop_active Sort and filter in the upper cell of the column where you want to filter the data.

3.In the window that opens, make sure that the filter type By value is selected and clear the Select all checkbox.

4.If necessary, you can adjust the width and/or height of the window:

To increase or decrease the window width, move its right border to the left or right.

To increase or decrease the window height, move its bottom border up or down.

To adjust the window width and height simultaneously, move its bottom right corner in the desired direction.

5.Select the checkboxes next to the values you want to display in the column.

6.If the selected filter range has cells in the Date or Date and time format, their values are grouped in the list by year and month. To expand a grouped list row, click the t_group_expand button.

7.If the list contains a large number of values, use the search bar:

Enter the value you want to find (in full or partially). For example, to find the number 123, you can enter the numbers 12, 23 or 123 in the search bar.

To make your search more flexible, use wildcards.

You can search for dates by entering all or part of a numerical value (for year, month, and number), the name of a month, or the entire date in the format “MM.DD.YYYY” or “MM.DD.YY”. In this case, if you enter “01” in the search, the year 2001, January, 1st day will be displayed, and if you enter “1”, January will not be included in the search results (the month corresponds to “01”, but not to “1”).

In the search results, select the checkboxes next to the values you want to display in the column.

If necessary, repeat the steps to find and select other values.

To add the results of a new search to the values selected earlier, select the Add selected values to the filter option when entering. If the option is not selected, then when you run a new search, the previously selected values that are not included in the new search results will be reset.

8.Click Apply.

If you need to add additional values to the filtered list, click Sort and filter in the upper cell of the column again and, without clearing the filter, use the search bar:

1.Enter the value you want to find (in full or partially).

2.In the search results, select the checkboxes next to the values you want to display in the column.

3.Clear the search bar by deleting the value or click the side_panel_pivot_table_close button on the right side of the bar.

4.If necessary, repeat the steps to find and select other values.

5.Click Apply.

The appearance of the sort and filter button may differ from the one shown here because it depends on whether sorting has been previously applied, the sort order (ascending or descending), and whether a filter has been previously applied:

editor_filter_on_drop_active: No sorting or filtering applied.

filter_applied: Filter applied, no sorting applied.

sorting_ascending_icon: Sorted in ascending order with no filter applied.

sorting_descending_icon: Sorted in descending order with no filter applied.

sorting_ascending_filter_icon: Sorted in ascending order with filter applied.

sorting_descending_filter_icon: Sorted in descending order with filter applied.
