Rows to repeat / Columns to repeat |
Rows or columns to repeat are rows or columns that will be displayed on every page when printing a table or exporting a document to PDF. They can be used as titles, for example, when you need to pin the table header on every sheet. Rows to repeat are pinned at the top of the table to be printed or exported, and columns to repeat are pinned on the left. You can select rows or columns to repeat either by directly entering the range address in the box or by clicking In this case, you may: –Select only entire rows or columns. For example, when you manually enter a range, you can't enter “$A$1:$A$5”; you have to enter the address of the entire row “$1:$1” or the range of rows “$1:$5”. –When using multiple columns or rows, only adjacent rows or columns can be selected. For example, when you enter a range manually, you cannot enter the ranges “$1:$1” and “$3:$3” without including the range “$2:$2”. You also cannot specify a range as “=$B:$C;$D:$E”. You need to specify the range as a continuous one as “=$B:$E”. –Select only rows or columns on the current document sheet and located in the sheet's workspace. Only visible data is printed: hidden and filtered cells are not printed. The setting is not available if no printers are installed in the OS. Rows and columns to repeat are not displayed in .ods files created in Excel. |
