The Import calendars section settings of MyOffice Mail web application contains tools for importing calendars from an Exchange server into MyOffice Mail.
When importing, all calendars of the specified account are transferred into the Calendar section. The default primary calendar is assigned the name DefaultCalendar. Additional calendars are created with names corresponding to the names on the Exchange server. One account on the Exchange server can only be imported into one section account of the Calendar section.
After importing the calendar, when creating a new event in the calendar on the Exchange server, the data will not be synchronized, and the new event will not be added to Calendar. To synchronize data, repeat the calendar import procedure. Calendars in the section Calendar, to which the user has been granted access rights, are not synchronized with the calendars on the Exchange server. Resources specified in the event when created on the Exchange server are displayed in the Location field.
Imported calendars contain all events (both one-time and recurring) for period from the 1st day of the current month + 1 year.
The following items are not imported to Calendar:
–Events that repeat events from user calendars in the Calendar section.
–Canceled events in which the user is a participant.
–Task calendars.
Importing calendars from Exchange server
To import a calendar from an Exchange server:
1.Specify the following data:
•Server: Exchange server name
•Email: Mailbox name
•Password: Account password
2.Click Import.
Calendar import is performed in the background. Upon completion of each calendar import, an email is sent to the user containing the calendar name and the number of events added in the section Calendar. Each recurring event in the calendar is counted as one event.
