How can we help you?

If needed, formulas can be cut or copied from one cell, row, or column, and the total value of these formulas can be inserted into another cell, row, or column without the formulas themselves.

To paste the result of a formula calculation without its original formatting, use the Values only command.

To paste the result of a formula calculation while preserving the original formatting, do the following:

1.Specify where to insert the data:

If the clipboard contains data from a single cell, row, or column, select the cell, row, or column to insert this data into.

If the clipboard contains a range of cells, rows, or columns, select the appropriate size range or select the cell, row, or column into which to insert the contents of the first cell, row, or column from the range.

2.Run the insert command in one of the following ways:

On the Home tab, in the Edit group, click the arrow to the right of the t_home_paste Paste button. In the drop-down list, select Values and formatting.

When working in macOS, select the Edit >Values and formatting command from the command menu.

Open the context menu by right-clicking on the selected cells or on the contents of the selected rows or columns. Select the Paste special > Values and formatting command from the context menu.

Open the context menu by right-clicking on the headers of the selected rows or columns. Select the Values and formatting command from the context menu.

Press Ctrl+Alt+V(Windows, Linux) or ⌥Option+⌘Cmd+V (macOS).
