If the document structure is protected from editing, the sheet_tabs_protection icon is displayed to the right of the sheet tabs To remove the protection, you may need to enter a password.

To unprotect the sheet structure, follow these steps:

1.Open the Manage protection pane in one of the following ways:

•On the Protection tab, click t_protection_structure_unguard Unprotect structure.

•When working in macOS, you can also run the Data > Manage protection > Unprotect structure command from the command menu.

2.On the Spreadsheet structure tab:

•If the document structure is password protected, enter the password and click Unprotect.

•If the document structure is not password protected, click Unprotect.

3.To close the Manage protection pane, do one of the following:

•At the top of the pane, click side_panel_search_close .

•On the Sidebar, click side_panel_protection Manage protection.
