To copy and paste formatting, you can use:
–The
Copy formatting button on the Toolbar.
–Keyboard shortcuts.
To copy and paste formatting once using the
Copy formatting button, follow these steps:
1.Select the part of the document you want to copy the formatting to using one of the methods described in the Copy and paste formatting rules section.
2.On the Home tab, in the Edit group, click
Copy formatting.
3.Select the fragment to paste formatting using one of the methods described in the Copy and paste formatting rules section.
To copy and paste formatting multiple times using the
Copy formatting button, follow these steps:
1.Select the part of the document you want to copy the formatting to using one of the methods described above.
2.On the Home tab, in the Edit group, double-click
Copy formatting to make it look like
.
3.Sequentially apply formatting to the desired text fragments using one of the methods described in the Copy and paste formatting rules section.
To quit applying multiple formatting mode, do one of the following:
–On the Home tab, in the Edit group, click the
button to make it look like
.
–Press Esc.
To copy and paste formatting using the keyboard shortcuts, follow these steps:
1.Select the part of the document you want to copy the formatting to using one of the methods described in the Copy and paste formatting rules section.
2.Press Ctrl+Shift+C.
3.If you want to apply formatting to a single fragment, do the following:
•Select the fragment to paste formatting using one of the methods described in the Copy and paste formatting rules section.
•Press Ctrl+Shift+V.
4.If you want to apply formatting to several fragments, select these fragments in the text one by one and run the Paste formatting command for each of them.
