Select one column or row

To select a column or row, use one of the following methods:

Place the cursor over the column or row heading until the cursor changes to down_arrow or right_arrow. Left-click the heading.

Click on any cell in the row or column that you want to select. To select a row, press Shift+Space. To select a column, press Ctrl+Space.

To select all rows that contain a merged cell, select this cell and press Shift+Spacebar.

To select all columns in which a merged cell is located, select the cell and press Ctrl+Spacebar.

Select a range of adjacent columns or rows

To select a small range of adjacent columns or rows, follow these steps:

1.Hover the cursor over the heading of the first item to be selected so that the cursor looks like down_arrow or right_arrow.

2.Hold down the left mouse button and drag the cursor over the headings of the elements that need to be selected. While the left mouse button remains pressed, a tooltip about the size of the selected area is displayed in the range field.

3.Release the left mouse button.

To select a range of adjacent columns or rows that extends beyond the visible area of the spreadsheet, follow these steps:

1.Hover the cursor over the heading of the first item to be selected so that the cursor looks like down_arrow or right_arrow.

2.Select this header by clicking the left mouse button.

3.Hover the cursor over the heading of the last item to be selected so that the cursor looks like down_arrow or right_arrow. Click the header while holding down the Shift key.

To select non-adjacent columns and rows, use multiple selection.
