How can we help you?

Only the author or owner of the file can delete a file from cloud storage.

The file author is the user who created the file. The file owner is the owner of the folder in which the file is located.

If the author created the file in their own folder, they are also the file's owner. If the author created the file in a folder created by another user, they are only the author and not the file's owner. In the latter case, the owner of the file is the creator of the folder in which the file is located.

To delete a file stored in the cloud, follow these steps:

1.Open the explorer of the cloud in one of the following ways:

To delete a spreadsheet, run the Open from cloud command.

To delete any other file, run the Download from cloud command.

2.In the cloud storage explorer window, select the folder on the left that contains the file you need.

3.Right-click the file's line and select Delete from the context menu.

After deletion, the file is moved to the Trash section. If the file is located in a folder created by another user, it is moved to the Trash section of the owner of this folder. This file is not displayed in the author's Trash section.

If necessary, the file can be restored from the Trash or permanently deleted.

To permanently delete a file from cloud storage, follow these steps:

1.In the cloud storage file explorer, select the Trash section.

2.In the list of files in the section, right-click the file's line and select Delete permanently from the context menu.
