By default, the following styles are applied in the document:
–Normal: To the main text of the document.
–Header and footer: To the text of headers and footers.
–Footnote and Endnote: To the text of the corresponding footnotes.
To properly arrange the structure of the document, you should manually apply the Heading 1-5, Subtitle, and Title styles to the appropriate text elements.
To apply a style:
1.Select one or more paragraphs you want to apply a style to, or select a part of such a paragraph, or place the cursor in it.
2.Select a style in one of the following ways:
•On the Home tab, in the Styles group, select a style from the displayed styles, or click the
button and select a style from the list.
•Open the Styles pane and select the style from the list.
•Open the Quick actions pane and select a style from the list.
The style that is applied to the selected paragraph:
–Is framed on the Home tab, in the Styles section.
–Is checked in the Styles pane and in the Quick actions pane.
