How can we help you?

You can upload presentations from your personal computer to MyOffice Documents for viewing and editing.

MyOffice administrator can prohibit uploading certain types of files. If you try to upload a file of a prohibited type, a corresponding error will appear.

Supported formats that can be edited without conversion: .pptx, .odp.

Convert a file when uploading

When uploaded, documents of a number of formats are automatically converted to the internal .xodp/.xotp format.

Convertible formats include: .ppt, .pps, .pptm, .ppsx, .pot, .potx, .otp, .potm.

If a file cannot be converted, it will open in the read-only format.

You cannot convert a password-protected document. When converting, you will be warned to delete the password and upload the document once again.

Upload a file

Presentation files can be uploaded from external sources using MyOffice Documents application and then opened (if needed) for viewing or editing using MyOffice Presentation. When you upload a file, it is automatically converted to the internal application format and opened for editing. If the file cannot be converted, it will open in the read-only format.

To upload and open a presentation, follow the steps below:

1.In the Command menu, select File Upload and open or press Ctrl+O (command Cmd+O).

2.In the standard operating system window that opens, select the presentation file and click Open.

3.When the file starts uploading to the storage, an information window will appear. If the file requires conversion, it will be automatically converted, then uploaded.

4.As a result of the operation, a window will appear with a message that the uploaded file is ready to be opened:

When you click Open, the file opens in a new web browser tab for editing or viewing.

If you click Cancel, the download window closes and the file is not opened for editing or viewing. It becomes available in the My documents folder in the MyOffice Documents file storage.

You cannot convert a password-protected document. You will be warned to delete the password and upload the document once again.

If an error message window appears while downloading or converting a file, it is possible that the file is corrupted or the Internet connection was interrupted. Try downloading the file again by clicking Retry.

The administrator of MyOffice software can restrict certain file types from downloading. If you try to download a restricted file type, a corresponding error message will appear.

When the storage limit is exceeded or almost reached, the users will receive the following notifications:

When approaching the set limit: A notification will be displayed above the Control bar that the file storage space is running out. This notification is a warning, and the user can continue working on files without interruption. You can hide the warning by pressing the wind_close button on the warning or by logging in to MyOffice web applications again. In case the quota problem persists the next day, the notification will be shown to the user once again.

The allocated quota limit has been reached: A notice will be displayed above the Control bar that the file storage space is running out. This warning cannot be hidden, no further operations with files are possible until the quota issue is solved.

To free up space, delete unnecessary files from the storage or contact your system administrator to increase the quota size.
