How can we help you?
Application: Text Web version

You can upload text documents from your personal computer to MyOffice Documents for viewing and editing.

MyOffice administrator can prohibit uploading certain types of files. If you try to upload a file of a prohibited type, a corresponding error will appear.

Supported formats that can be edited without conversion: .docx, .odt.

Convert a file when uploading

When uploaded, documents in a number of formats are automatically converted to the internal .xodt/.xott format.

The following file formats are converted: .doc, .rtf, .txt, .docm, .dotx, .dot, .ott.

If a file cannot be converted, it is opened for view only.

A password-protected document cannot be converted: a warning message will be displayed to remove the password and upload the document again.

Upload a file

1.In the Command menu, select File > Upload and open or press Ctrl+O (command Cmd+O).

2.In the opened window, select the file and click Open.

3.When the uploading begins, a pop-up window will appear on your screen. If the file needs converting, it will be done automatically before uploading.

4.At the start of the file upload to the storage, an information window will be displayed on the screen. If the file requires conversion, it will be automatically converted and then uploaded.

5.As a result of the operation, a dialog box will appear:

Click Open to to open the file in the browser for editing or viewing.

Click Cancel to close the upload window. In this case, the file will not open and will be available in the My documents folder in MyOffice Documents file storage.

If an error message window appears while uploading or converting a file, the file may be damaged or the internet connection may have been lost. Try uploading the file again by clicking Retry.

When you upload a signed external-format document using MyOffice Text, the document's electronic signature will be removed as a result of conversion. To avoid losing the signature in external format documents and documents with detached electronic signature, upload such documents using MyOffice Documents application.

When the storage limit is exceeded or almost reached, the users will receive the following notifications:

When approaching the set limit: A notification will be displayed above the Control bar that the file storage space is running out. This notification is a warning, and the user can continue working on files without interruption. You can hide the warning by clicking wind_close on the warning or by logging in to MyOffice web applications again. In case the quota problem persists the next day, the notification will be shown to the user once again.

The allocated quota limit has been reached: A notice will be displayed above the Control bar that the file storage space is running out. This warning cannot be hidden, no further operations with files are possible until the quota issue is solved.

To free up space, delete unnecessary files from the storage or contact your system administrator to increase the quota size.
