It may happen that you need to have several objects on a slide to overlap or partially overlap each other. In this case, each object should have a certain position in space: it should be placed in the foreground or background, or be between other objects.

Bring forward

To move a table one level forward relative to another object, select it and do one of the following:

In the Format menu, select Arrange > Bring Forward.

On the Toolbar, select the Arrange section and click move_forward Bring Forward.

On the Toolbar, select the Arrange section and click the arrow to the right of the move_forward Bring Forward button. In the drop-down list, select Bring Forward.

Right-click the table to open the the context menu and select Bring Forward.

When working in Windows or Linux, press Ctrl+] in English keyboard layout. When working in macOS, press altOption+shift Shift+command Cmd+F.

To bring the table on top of other objects, select it and do one of the following:

In the Format menu, select Arrange > Bring to Front.

On the Toolbar, select the Arrange section and click the arrow to the right of the move_forward Bring Forward button. In the drop-down list, select Bring to Front.

Right-click the table to open the the context menu and select Bring to Front.

When working in Windows or Linux, press Ctrl+Shift+] in English keyboard layout. When working in macOS, press shift Shift+command Cmd+F.

Send backward

To move a table one level backwards relative to another object, select it and do one of the following:

In the Format menu, select Arrange > Send Backward.

On the Toolbar, select the Arrange section and click move_back Send Backward.

On the Toolbar, select the Arrange section and click the arrow to the right of the move_back Send Backward button. In the drop-down list, select Send Backward.

Right-click the table to open the the context menu and select Send Backward.

When working in Windows or Linux, press Ctrl+[ in English keyboard layout. When working in macOS, press alt Option+shift Shift+command Cmd+B.

To place the table behind the other objects, select it and do one of the following:

In the Format menu, select Arrange > Send to Back.

On the Toolbar, select the Arrange section and click the arrow to the right of the move_back Send Backward button. In the drop-down list, select Send to Back.

Right-click the table to open the the context menu and select Send to Back.

When working in Windows or Linux, press Ctrl+Shift+[ in English keyboard layout. When working in macOS, press shift Shift+command Cmd+B.
