Spell check is enabled in the application by default. Detected spelling errors are underlined with a red squiggly line, grammatical errors are underlined with a blue line.

Enable or disable spell checking

1.Click the Review tab.

2.In the Spelling and grammar menu, check or uncheck one or both of the checkboxes:

Show spelling errors.

Show grammar errors.

Spell checking is not performed for text within shapes or text-lined tables.

Selecting language dictionaries

By default, spell checking is performed in Russian and English. To select other languages, you need to add their dictionaries.

To select dictionaries, use one of the methods:

On the Review tab, from the Spelling and grammar menu, select Dictionaries.

On the sidebar, click SpellingDefault Spellchecker, then in the Dictionaries section, click Change.

The language selection window opens. You can select one to three dictionaries at a time for checking.

Working with errors

You can view options for correcting an error in the context menu or in the Spellchecker pane.

To open the Spellchecker pane, use one of the methods:

On the Review tab, from the Spelling and grammar menu, select Spellchecker.

On the sidebar, click SpellingDefault Spellchecker.

The panel displays the correction options for the current error. You can jump through the errors using the < Previous and > Next buttons.

To skip an error in the entire document, click Ignore all. To replace an error, select an option from the list and click Change. To replace the error in the entire document, click the arrow next to Change and select Change all.

Grammar check starts automatically after you press the spacebar or Enter key at the end of a sentence.
