The Non-printable characters mode allows you to display hidden formatting characters such as spaces, line breaks, page breaks, etc. on the page. This helps you visually assess the structure of your document.
To turn character display on or off, on the Home tab, in the Paragraph group, click ¶ Non-printable characters.
