To create a smart table:
1.Select a cell or range of cells with data.
2.Open the Create table window in one of the following ways:
•On the Insert tab, click the Table button.
•Press the keyboard shortcut Ctrl+Alt+T (Cmd+Option+T).
3.In the window, change the table Value source and Name, if necessary.
4.Make sure the Include headers in the table check box is selected if the first row of your data contains column names.
5.Click OK.
Features of creating a smart table
–The table should not overlap with other smart or pivot tables.
–Make sure there is at least one empty row between your range and other objects (other tables, filtered ranges).
