You can customize both the basic parameters of a chart (type, data range) and the appearance of its individual elements.
Open chart settings panel
To open the Chart panel with its settings, select it, and then use one of the methods:
–Double-click the chart or its element.
–Click Chart settings in the upper-right corner of the chart, in the context menu or on the Home tab , in the Chart group .
Customize the basic parameters of a chart
1.Double-click the chart or its element. The Chart panel opens.
2.On the panel, customize the necessary parameters:
•Type — select the type of the chart.
•Range — specify the range of data forming the chart.
•Data series — specify whether to use columns or rows of the selected range as data rows.
•Plot area — include or exclude the first row or column of the selected range from the drawing area. When included, the data of the first row or column is used to create captions on the chart.
Change the appearance of the chart elements
1.Double-click the chart or its element. The Chart panel opens.
2.On the right sidebar, on the Elements tab, select the desired element.
3.Set the settings that become available for it.
