Move a sheet

You can move a sheet:

–Within the current document.

–Into another document that is currently open.

The following rules apply when moving:

–When moving to another document, only links, notes, tables, and functions whose arguments are located on the current sheet are saved.

–It is not permitted to move sheets from/to documents with a protected structure or open in view mode.

To move a sheet within a current document with a small number of sheets, drag the sheet tab while holding down the left mouse button.

To move a sheet within a document with many sheets or to another document:

1.Right-click the sheet tab.

2.Run the Move command from the context menu.

3.In the Move sheet window, specify the conditions for moving:

•Move to file: The document to which you want to move the sheet. The list displays all currently open documents. The current document is selected by default.

•Place before sheet: The name of the sheet before which the sheet to be moved should be placed. Hidden sheets are not displayed in the list. If you want to place the sheet after all sheets, select To the end of document.

4.Click Move.

The sheet will be moved and opened at the specified location in the current or another document.
