How can we help you?

When working with large data sets, you can assign names to frequently used cells, cell ranges, constants, formulas, and arrays. Names are used in formulas and functions and make them easier to write and understand.

For example, the function =SUM(Sales) is easier to enter and understand than the function =SUM(D2; D20).

Names are divided into two types:

Defined: Names that the user has manually assigned to cells, ranges, arrays, constants, and formulas.

Table names: Names of tables created in MyOffice Spreadsheet or third-party applications.

In addition, names differ depending on their scope of application:

Global: Can be used on any spreadsheet sheet.

Local: Can only be used on the sheet where they were defined.

You can use the following features to work with names:

Range field. Located on the Formula bar. If necessary, you can expand the range field. To do this, move the mouse cursor to the right edge of the field so that it changes to resize_cursor_horiz, and, while holding down the left mouse button, move the field border to the right.

Name manager. Opens when you click side_panel_defined_names Name manager on the Sidebar.
