Change the text box outline

By default, the text box is created without an outline. A light gray border around the box shows the borders and is only visible in editing mode on the slide open in the application workspace. You can add an outline for the text box, and customize its color, thickness, and line type. To customize the outline settings, select the text box and click the knpk_border_shape Shape outline button on the Toolbar. A menu containing the following settings will appear on the screen:

No outline button: Removes the outline of the selected shape.

Recent colors section: Contains the last used colors.

Theme Colors section: Contains the color palette of the current slide's theme.

More colors section: Contains user-created colors as well as the button for adding new colors not included in the palette.

Line Weight section: Allows you to adjust the outline thickness.

Lower section allows you to choose the outline type from the preset options.

Hide or display text box borders

When you are in edit mode, by default, text box borders are displayed on the slide open in the application workspace.

To hide text box borders or display previously hidden ones, in the Command menu, select View > Text box borders.

If the page is reloaded, the active slide takes the default view, when text box borders are displayed.

Enter text

To enter the text in a text box, use one of the following ways:

Use the left mouse button to select the text box where you plan to type text and start typing. The text you enter will be typed after the text that you already have on the slide (if any).

Double left-click on the text box. The cursor will be placed exactly where you clicked in the text box. Note that if the slide contains text or if you click at the beginning of the line, the text will be entered on an empty slide.

The entered text can be formatted using the Command menu and the Toolbar.
