How can we help you?

You can use the context menu, Toolbar, keyboard shortcuts or the Edit command menu items to perform the following actions:

Cut

When you cut data, the selected slide content is placed on the clipboard of your operating system and removed from the presentation.

To cut data, do the following:

On the Edit menu, select Cut.

On the Toolbar, clickcut Cut.

Right-click the content to be cut and select Cut from the context menu.

Press Ctrl+X (command Cmd+X).

Copy

When copying, the selected content of the slide is placed in the operating system clipboard, while the copied element itself remains in the presentation and does not change.

To copy data, do the following:

On the Edit menu, select Copy.

On the Toolbar, click copy Copy.

Right-click the content to be cut and select Copy from the context menu.

Press Ctrl+C (command Cmd+C).

In read-only presentations, the text contained in the text fields and tables is selected and copied in its entirety. The text is copied to the clipboard without formatting. Copying images and shapes is not supported.

Paste

When you paste, the content from the operating system's clipboard is placed on the slide where the cursor is positioned. You can paste data from the clipboard with or without saving the original formatting.

To execute the Paste command, the data to be pasted must be on the clipboard, that is, copied or cut from somewhere beforehand.

To paste data while keeping the original formatting, follow the steps below:

1.Place the cursor where you want to paste the data, or select the text (object) you want to replace with the data from the clipboard.

2.Run the paste command in one of the following ways:

In the Command menu, select Edit > Paste.

On the Toolbar, click insert Paste.

On the context menu opened with the right mouse button, select Paste.

Press Ctrl+V (command Cmd+V).

When you paste data without saving the original formatting, only text is pasted from the clipboard. That means that when you insert a shape with text or a link, only the text within these elements is inserted into the document. If the copied or cut piece contains images, they are not inserted.

The style of the text to which it is added is applied to the text that is pasted from the clipboard.

To insert data without formatting, follow the steps below:

1.Place the cursor where you want to paste the data, or select the text (object) you want to replace with the data from the clipboard.

2.Run the paste command in one of the following ways:

In the Command menu, select Edit > Paste text only.

On the Toolbar, click the button to the right of the insert Paste button and select Paste text only.

On the context menu opened with the right click, select Paste text only.

Press Ctrl+Alt+V (command Cmd+option Option+V).

To paste the value via the context menu, give the browser permission to access the clipboard.

Mozilla Firefox web browser doesn't allow you to access the clipboard via the command and context menus. Inserting text is only available with the Ctrl+V (command_transparent Cmd+V) shortcut.
