If a user manually applies formatting to the text or element, this formatting can be removed using the Clear Formatting command to bring back the formatting of the presentation topic.

The option is available for the following:

Text

Objects (images, tables, lists, and shapes)

The following rules apply when clearing formatting:

If any element other than a table is selected, formatting cleanup is applied only to the text located inside this element. If a table is selected, formatting cleanup is applied to the outline and fill of the table, as well as to the text located in it.

When selecting multiple elements, it is possible to clear the formatting of the text inside the shape, table, text block, as well as the outline and fill of the table.

To clear the formatting, follow these steps:

1.Select the desired text or element:

To clear the formatting of a piece of text, select this piece of text.

To clear the formatting of one or more items in the list, select these items.

To clear the formatting of a paragraph, select this paragraph or place the cursor in it.

To clear the formatting of all text located inside any element other than a table, select that element or select all text inside the element.

To clear the formatting of the text in a table cell, select this text.

To clear the formatting of the text, fill, and outline of a cell, column, row, or entire table, select that table element or the entire table.

2.Run the Clear Formatting command in one of the following ways:

In the Command menu, select Edit > Clear Formatting.

On the Toolbar, click clear_format Clear Formatting.

Right-click the selected elements or text to open the context menu and run the Clear Formatting command.

Press the keyboard shortcut Ctrl+Space (^ Control+\).
