How can we help you?

You can change the format of the bullet:

For any level or item in the bulleted list.

For a bulleted level or bulleted item in a mixed list.

Currently, you cannot select an image as a bullet. The bullet as an image created in a third-party editor is changed to the ☒ character.

To change the bullet format, follow these steps:

1.Specify the required items in the list:

If you want to change the bullet format for all items in the same level, place the cursor in any of these items or select these items without sub-items. If the list is created in PowerPoint and the file is saved in .odp format, select the items without sub-items.

If you want to change the bullet format for one or more items on the same level, select those items without sub-items.

If you want to change the bullet format for multiple items at different levels, select those items.

If you want to change the bullet format for the entire list, select the list.

If you want to change the bullet format for all items in the bulleted list in a shape, select the shape.

2.Open the bullet pane in one of the following ways:

On the Home tab, in the Paragraph group, click the arrow to the right of the t_paragraph_bulleted_list Bulleted list button and hover your mouse over the Customize bullet command.

Right-click to open the context menu and hover the mouse cursor over the Customize bullet command.

3.Select a bullet from the set of standard bullet or the most recently used bullets.

The None value converts the selected bulleted list items into regular paragraphs of text. In this case, paragraphs of text retain a left indentation equal to the bullet indentation at the corresponding list level.

4.If there is no suitable bullet in the set of standard and recent bullets, run the Other bullets command. The Special characters window opens, where you can select any other character from the fonts available in the application as a bullet.
