How can we help you?

You can vertically align text inside an object: along the top, in the middle, or along the bottom.

To do this, follow these steps:

1.Select the object where you want to align the text:

To align text within any object other than a table, select the object with a single or double click.

To align text in a table, select it with a single click.

To align text in one or more cells in a table, select those cells.

2.On the Home tab, in the Paragraph group, select the alignment method: editor_vertical_alignment_top_icon Align to top, editor_vertical_alignment_middle_icon Align to middle or editor_vertical_alignment_bottom_icon Align to bottom. When working in macOS, you can also run the Format > Alignment > Top, Middle or Bottom command from the command menu.

If the text in a cell is rotated, vertical alignment is carried out according to its position in space: the text is moved relative to the left and right cell borders.
