You can adjust the table's alignment in the document and customize its text wrapping.
Table alignment
By default, a table is aligned to the left edge of the page.
To customize the table alignment:
1.Position the cursor in any cell of the table.
2.Open the settings by doing one of the following:
•On the Home tab in the Table group, click Table settings.
•In the context menu, select Table settings.
3.In the window that opens:
•In the Alignment section, select the desired option: Align left, Align center, or Align right.
•If Align left is selected, you can set the exact Left indent.
Table text wrapping
This feature allows text to surround the table from the sides.
Before you enable this feature, make sure that the table:
–fits entirely on one page (if not, break it into several parts);
–does not contain the following objects: images, figures, formulas, table of contents, cross-references, footnotes. These objects will be automatically deleted when text wrapping is activated.
Text wrapping cannot be enabled for tables:
–that are inside footers;
–containing nested tables (an error message will appear if you try to do so).
Customize table text wrapping
1.Select the table.
2.Open the Table settings window (see above).
3.Select the Enable text wrapping check box.
4.Set the distances from the table borders to the surrounding text.
Quickly move a table with text wrapping
1.Move the cursor over the table.
2.A square button will appear in the upper left corner of the table.
3.Hold down the button and drag the table to a new place in the document.
