Sidebars

Use sidebars to quickly access tools for spell checking, finding and replacing data, working with text styles, and more.

The table below lists the buttons on the left and right sidebars. Some buttons are only displayed if you have started working with the corresponding elements. For example, the  Quick parts button is displayed if at least one quick part has been created in the document.

If a document is open in the cloud, the right sidebar displays buttons and avatars of co-authors who are collaborating on the document with you.
