Change cell size using the mouse

To change the height or width of a cell, do the following:

1.Hold the cursor over the border of the cell. When you hold the cursor over the lower or upper border, the cursor will look like this: size_arrow_vert. When hovering over the side border, the cursor will look like this: size_arrow_hor.

2.Hold down the left mouse button and move the cursor to the desired cell size. While you move the cursor, the changeable border is shown as a dotted line:

When the cell sizes change, the width of the entire column (or the height of the entire row) changes.

When reducing the row height, the content of the cells are taken into account. The height will decrease so that the entire content of the cells are displayed.

To create cells of different widths in one column, use the Merge cells command.

To change the size of all table cells proportionally, do the following:

1.Place the cursor in any cell of the table.

2.Hover the cursor over the table frame marker:

To change the height and width of the cells, hover the cursor over the marker in the corner of the frame. The cursor will look like this: arrow_prop.

To change the height of the cells, hover the cursor over the marker of the upper or lower border of the frame. The cursor will look like this:size_arrow_vert.

To change the width of the cells, hover the cursor over the marker of the side border of the frame. The cursor will look like this: size_arrow_hor.

3.Hold down the cursor and pull in the desired direction.

Set cell size

To set the exact size of the cells, do the following:

1.Place the cursor in a cell or select a range of cells.

2.Open the window for setting the cell size using one of the following methods:

On the Command menu, select Table > Cell size.

Click size_cell on the Toolbar.

3.In the Cell size window, set the parameter values in one of the following ways:

Select a value using the size_arrows buttons in the Width and Height fields. One click changes the value by 0.1 cm.

Enter the values manually.

The minimum value of the width and height of the cell is 0.36 cm. The maximum value is equal to 49.99 cm.

The selected value in the Width and/or Height field applies to all cells of the column in which the selected cell is located or to all cells of the row in which the selected cell is located.

When selecting a range of cells, width and height values are assigned to all cells in the range.
