How can we help you?
Application: Mail Desktop version

The ability to create, edit and delete contacts in address books may vary depending on the type of address book.

Local address books: the user can add, delete contacts and fully edit all contact properties such as first name, last name, e-mail address and phone number.

CardDAV address books: the user can edit most contact properties, however some properties may be protected and not editable depending on the CardDAV server settings. All changes are synchronized with the remote CardDAV server.

LDAP address books: editing capabilities are usually limited because LDAP directories are often centralized corporate systems. The user can typically only browse and search for contacts, but cannot edit them directly. Any necessary changes must be made by the LDAP directory administrator.
