How can we help you?
Application: Text Web version

You can control the structure of your document with page breaks and section breaks.

Insert a page break

A page break forcibly starts a new page from the current cursor position. The text after the break will start at the top of the next page.

To insert a page break, use one of the following methods:

On the Page tab, click the Page break button.

Press the keyboard shortcut Ctrl+Enter (Cmd+Enter).

Insert a section break

A section break allows you to divide your document into logical parts (sections), each of which can be formatted independently. This is useful for:

Changing the page orientation (portrait or landscape) for a particular section.

Using different headers and footers (e.g., Roman numerals for the introduction and Arabic numerals for the main body).

Setting different margins or paper sizes within the same document.

To insert a section break, on the Page tab, click the Section break button.
