Columns are the top and bottom margins on each page of a document. They can contain information that should be repeated on all pages: page number, company logo, document or chapter title, etc.
The following objects can be inserted into the footers in an attachment: text, image, figure, link, table, page number.
Add and edit header and footer
1.Enter the header and footer editing mode in one of the following ways:
•Click the Insert tab and click the Header and footer button.
•Move the mouse cursor to the top or bottom of the page. When the cursor changes appearance, double-click the left mouse button.
2.Enter text or insert the desired object (image, figure, link, table) using the corresponding buttons on the toolbar. To add a page number, click the Page numbers button (see below).
3.Exit edit mode by clicking the ✓ check mark or the main area of the document.
Add page numbering
1.Enter the header and footer editing mode (see above).
2.Click the Page numbers button.
3.In the Page numbers window that opens, configure the required options:
•Show page numbers: enable page numbering.
•Format: select the appearance of the number (e.g., Arabic or Roman numerals, letters).
•Start at: specify the number to start numbering from. For letter format, enter the sequential number of the letter in the alphabet (e.g., 1 for "A", 2 for "B").
•Location: select the position of the number on the page by clicking on one of the suggested templates.
4.Click OK to apply the settings.
Change or delete page numbering
1.Open the Page numbers window (see above).
2.Make the necessary changes or disable the Show page numbers option.
3.Click the OK button to apply the settings.
