Application: Text Web version

The Find and replace panel allows you to quickly find and modify text in a document.

Open the Find and replace panel

To open the panel, use one of the following methods:

On the Page tab, click the Find and replace button.

Click the Search Find and replace button on the sidebar.

Press the keyboard shortcut Ctrl+F (Cmd+F).

In view-only documents, the replace function as well as the header and footer search are not available.

Find text

1.In the panel that opens, type a query in the Find field. The search starts automatically after the first character is entered. All matches found in the document are highlighted in gray. The fragment where the search cursor stopped is highlighted in yellow.

2.To move through the results, use the buttons on the panel: ChevronDown Next match and ChevronUp Previous match.

The total number of matches is displayed under the Parameters section, and for each result — the text context in which the match was found.

Replace text

1.Enter the text to search for in the Find field.

2.In the Replace with field, enter new text.

3.Click the button:

Replace — to replace the currently highlighted match.

Replace All — to replace all matches found in the document.

Limitations

The maximum length of the search query is 95 characters.

A maximum of 100 context matches are displayed.

The total match count is not dynamically updated when editing a document during an active search.
