You can copy, cut and paste through the clipboard the contents of a file.
Clipboard tools
The clipboard tools are located on the Home tab, in the Edit group:
– Cut: put content in the clipboard and remove it from the document.
– Copy: put content in the clipboard and leave it in the document.
– Paste: add content to the document.
Copy content
To copy content, select it, then use one of the methods:
–Click Copy.
–From the context menu, select Copy.
–Press the keyboard shortcut Ctrl+C (Cmd+C).
Cut content
To cut content, select it, then use one of the methods:
–Click the Cut button.
–From the context menu, select Cut.
–Press the keyboard shortcut Ctrl+X (Cmd+X).
Paste content
To paste content, click the desired insertion location or select the content you want to replace, then use one of the methods:
–Click the Paste button or click the arrow next to it and choose Paste or Paste text only.
–From the context menu, choose Paste or Paste text only.
–Press the keyboard shortcut Ctrl+V (Cmd+V) or Ctrl+Alt+V (Cmd+Option+V).
Features of the clipboard
–For certain items and file work modes, the copy function may not be supported.
–The browser may require your permission to access the clipboard for pasting to work via the context menu or toolbar.
–Some browsers may not support pasting through the context menu. Use keyboard shortcuts.
