Open pivot table settings

The Pivot table panel allows you to control the structure and parameters of the table. It contains two tabs:

–Constructor — for customizing the structure: adding and moving fields to row, column, value, and filter areas.

–Options — for changing the name of the pivot table, formatting, and other advanced settings.

Automatically open and close the Pivot table panel

–The panel automatically opens when you select any cell within the pivot table.

–The panel automatically closes when you select any cell outside the table.

Open the Pivot table panel

1.Select any cell or range of cells within the pivot table.

2.Use one of the following methods:

•On the sidebar, click Pivot table.

•Right-click the table and select Pivot table settings from the context menu.

Close the Pivot table panel

To close the pane, use one of the following methods:

–At the top of the settings pane, click the × cross.

–On the sidebar, click Pivot table.
