To cancel typing directly in the cell, press Esc.

For fractional numbers, use a comma as a separator (,).

If you start editing a cell and scroll to return to it, click its address (name) in the floating panel.

Autocomplete

Autocomplete allows you to quickly copy data or continue a sequence (numbers, dates, days of the week) into adjacent cells.

Perform autocomplete using the fill marker

1.Select the cell or range with the source data.

2.Move the cursor over the corner marker (the small square in the lower right corner of the selection) so that the cursor looks like a cross +.

3.Hold down the left mouse button and drag the marker in the desired direction.

Perform double-click autocomplete (down only)

1.Select the cell with the data.

2.Double-click the corner marker. The data will be copied down to the first empty cell in the adjacent column.

Autocomplete features

Simple copying: if you select a single cell with text or a number, its value will be copied.

Standard sequences: numbers (1, 2, 3...), dates, days of the week. You must enter at least one initial value for this.

Progressions (data series): to specify a complex sequence, such as arithmetic (2, 4, 6, 8...) or geometric (1, 3, 9, 27...):

a.Enter the first 2-3 values of your sequence in adjacent cells.

b.Select this sample range.

c.Drag the corner marker to continue the range.

When autocomplete, the cells inherit the format of the original range. Hidden rows and columns are ignored.

Delete data

To clear the contents of cells:

1.Seelct a cell or range.

2.Press the Delete or Backspace key.

Only the data inside the cells is deleted, not the cells themselves or their formatting.
