How can we help you?

The application allows you to open and view tables that have been protected in other applications (for example, Microsoft Excel). You cannot edit protected areas in such a document, but a number of actions are available to use and analyze it.

What you can do with a protected table

View the contents of the table.

Print the document or export it to supported formats.

Copy the entire table or parts of it.

Open and copy hyperlinks contained in cells.

Rename, move, delete, add new sheets, and display hidden sheets. (The book structure protection feature, which prohibits these actions, is not supported).

Restrictions

Editing protected cells, ranges, or sheets is blocked.

Customizing protection (enabling, disabling, changing password or permissions) is not available in the application. To do so, you will need to open the file in the original application where the protection was set.

The current version of the editor does not display a visual indicator of protection on the sheets tab. The fact of protection becomes obvious only when you try to change a locked cell.
