Select adjacent cells
1.Move the cursor to the cell where you want the range to start.
2.Hold down the left mouse button and move the cursor to the last cell in the range.
Select non-adjacent cells
1.Select a cell or a range of cells.
2.Hold down the Ctrl (Cmd) key and select another cell, range of cells, row or column.
Select rows or columns
To select a single row or column, left-click on its header.
To select multiple adjacent rows or columns:
1.Move the cursor over the header of the first row or column.
2.While holding down the left mouse button, move the cursor across the headings until you reach the last row or column of the range.
To select multiple columns or rows in their entirety:
1.Click the header of the first item to be selected.
2.Hold down the Shift key, click on the header of the first item and, without releasing the key, click on the header of the second item. All rows or columns within the selected range will be selected.
Select all cells in the sheet
To select all cells in the current sheet, press the keyboard shortcut Ctrl+A (Cmd+A).
Deselect
To deselect, left-click any cell in the current sheet.
If you move to another sheet of the book, the current selection is retained. Selection commands are valid only within the current sheet.
