You can add the following types of shapes to your documents: rectangle, ellipse, triangle, diamond, folded corner, star, heart, brackets, arrows, callouts, or text box.
To insert a shape to a document, do the following: 1.Select the place where you want to insert the shape on the sheet. 2.Display the list of shapes in one of the following ways: •In the Command menu, select Insert > Shape. •On the Toolbar, select the Insert section and click . In the insert pane that appears, place the cursor over Shape. 3.In the opened sub-menu, select the shape you want to insert. You can add text or a link to a shape as follows: 1.Double-click the shape to enter the shape editing mode. 2.Add text or a link to the shape: •Enter the text manually. You can format the text in the shape the same way as you would format the text in your document. •Insert a link as described in the Links section. 3.Click anywhere on the sheet outside the shape to leave the editing mode. |
A text box is a framed text which can be easily moved within the sheet you are working on. To insert a text box, follow these steps: 1.Place the cursor on the place on the sheet where you want to insert a text box. 2.Insert the text box in one of the following ways: •In the Command menu, select Insert and then Text Box. •On the Toolbar, select the Insert section and click Text Box. 3.Enter the text you want to be displayed in the text box. You can also add a link to the text box. The text can be formatted in the same manner as you would format the main text in the document. 4.To deselect the text box, click anywhere in the document outside of the text box. |
