To open a file or folder, use one of the following methods:

Click on the name of the object.

Select Open from the context menu.

Available options for opening documents in internal formats XODT, XODS, XODP:

Open with editor: The document opens in the browser and will be available for editing (if you have the permission to edit and higher), viewing (if you have the permission to view) or commenting (if you have the permission to comment) in the editor.

Open with desktop editor: The document opens in MyOffice desktop editor.

Documents in internal formats are opened in the editor in viewing mode by default (this feature is enabled by the administrator, it can be disabled in the profile settings). If this feature is disabled, documents open immediately in editing or commenting mode.

Documents in DOCX, XLSX, ODT, ODS, PPTX, ODP, and TXT formats are opened in editing, viewing, or commenting mode, depending on the user's permissions.

To open a document for editing, in preview mode, click Open with editor or select Open with editor from the context menu.

Documents in formats other than MyOffice's internal formats, as well as DOCX, XLSX, ODT, ODS, PPTX, ODP, and TXT formats, are opened in preview mode.

To edit a document, click Edit a copy. Automatic conversion to an internal format will take place and the document will open in the browser. The converted copy is created in the folder with the original file if you have the permission to edit the original document or higher. If you have the permission to view or comment, go to the My files section.

When you first open a document uploaded to the cloud in an external format (DOCX, XLSX, ODT, ODS, PPTX, ODP, TXT), a new version of the document is automatically created, which saves the contents of the original file. In case of incorrect display of objects or distortion of the formatting of the document in MyOffice editors, it is possible to download its original version.
